ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with deep capital markets expertise to lead trading system migrations, risk platform upgrades, and regulatory programs at a major Canadian bank. You will drive delivery across Front Office, Risk, Technology, and Compliance — equally at home in a Murex workstream discussion and an executive steering committee.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of trading system migrations (Murex, FIS Adaptiv) and risk platform upgrades across CCR, Market Risk, and AML domains.
- Manage stakeholder engagement from Front Office to C-suite, maintaining governance frameworks, RAID logs, and steering committee reporting.
- Oversee BRD/functional spec sign-off, data analysis, and UAT across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Coordinate regulatory deliverables: FINTRAC STRs, CCAR submissions, and Basel III/IV capital reporting.
- Manage vendor relationships with Murex, Algorithmics, FIS Adaptiv, and Actimize against contractual milestones.
MUST-HAVE:
- 10+ years in project management or business analysis within capital markets or investment banking.
- Proven track record leading trading system migrations and/or risk platform upgrades at a Tier 1 bank.
- Deep CCR knowledge: CVA, SA-CCR, IMM, EEPE, and Wrong Way Risk.
- Experience delivering Basel II/III/IV regulatory capital programs (CCAR, ICAAP, RWA).
- Hands-on knowledge of Canadian AML regulations and FINTRAC Suspicious Transaction Reporting (STRs).
- Familiarity with platforms: Murex, FIS Adaptiv, Algorithmics (IBM), or Actimize.
- Strong BRD/functional specification writing and complex data analysis skills.
NICE TO HAVE:
- CFA, FRM, or PMP designation.
- Experience with Economic Capital methodology, KMV risk models, or ICAAP frameworks.
- Knowledge of IFRS 9, ALM, or Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB).
- Big 4 advisory background on bank risk or capital programs.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a quantitative discipline.
